© 2009 The Lozano Observatory The Rosette Nebula (NGC 2237, NGC 2244) is part of a enormous cloud of hydrogen gas that houses a stellar nursery. A close look at the inner portion of this image shows the hot young stars created in the distant past that form the Open Cluster 2244. This nebula is located in the constellation Monoceros and is one of the largest nebulas visible.
